KTLA Conrad Murray Trial- October 2, 2011 Pt. 1

Mark Haushalter joined the team at KTLA 5 to discuss the Conrad Murray trial on October 2, 2011. Mr. Haushalter expressed his opinion that a plea deal is not in the works at this point in the trial, in part because it is such a high-profile case. Mr. Haushalter went on to explain that he knows the defense attorney representing Conrad Murray in this case, and that he was specifically chosen because he has represented another, extremely similar case involving the same drug (propofol). Attorney Flannigan is extremely familiar and comfortable with drug-related cases. He understands the scientific elements behind overdose and drug-mixing deaths, whereas the prosecution will likely be taken out of their element when the trial moves in this direction.
